Record ownership and revenue shares
Understand ownership editions, signatures, and the difference between a recorded agreement and a Roblox transfer.
The Ownership area records who has agreed to hold a share of a Studio or experience. Use it when a team needs a shared record of the split, including changes agreed after someone contributes work.
Choose the right scope
A free Studio can keep Studio-level ownership records. The paid Studio plan adds ownership records for individual linked experiences.
Before creating a split, agree on what it covers. A percentage of one game's revenue is different from a percentage of the whole Studio. Identify the people involved by their Bloxstack accounts and use the relevant scope in the workspace.
Create and sign an edition
A manager prepares an edition of the ownership record with the holders and their shares. Each named participant must sign that edition before it is fully attested.
Read the whole edition before signing. A signature on an older edition does not carry over to a changed split. If the agreement changes, prepare a new edition and collect the signatures again.
Someone invited to sign can access their ownership record without receiving general access to the Studio's private workspace.
Reserve shares for future work
For supported per-experience arrangements, a manager can reserve a pool for future revenue-share work. A reservation sets aside room in the split; it does not name a new owner by itself.
A revenue-share deal must reference the linked experience and a valid reserved pool. Closing that deal prepares the resulting ownership change for signatures. It does not silently mark everyone as having agreed to a new edition.
Know what the record does
An attested record shows that the named accounts signed the same edition in Bloxstack. It does not automatically change Roblox group ownership, transfer an experience, or distribute that game's Robux revenue.
Keep the practical steps for access and payment explicit in the agreement. For a whole-game sale, use the separate Venture handover workflow. For commissioned work, see deals and delivery.
